Opening Weekend World Premiere Performances
Of Mark Kemble’s Play, “Bad Hurt On Cedar Street,”
Presented by Greenway Arts Alliance Under the direction of Salome
Jens
Hollywood, CA – Greenway Arts Alliance hosted two
elegant Opening Weekend performances and receptions for the World
Premiere of playwright Mark Kemble’s new play, “Bad Hurt On Cedar
Street,” attended by dozens of celebrities and VIPS on Friday and
Saturday, January 19 and 20, 2007. The performances were presented at
Greenway Court Theatre, 544 N. Fairfax Avenue (at Clinton Street, near
Melrose Avenue), Hollywood, CA 90036, and will continue on Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. through February 24, 2007.
Under the direction of Salome Jens, and produced by
Molly Miles and John C. Mooney, the cast includes: Lisa
Richards (Elaine Kendall), Stephen Mendillo (Ed Kendall),
Jeff Cole (Todd Kendall), Grant Sullivan (Kent Kendall),
Iris Gilad (Phoebe Kendall) and Laurence Cohen (Willy
Crum). The play was developed by the Actors Studio, under the
guidance of Mark Rydell, Lyle Kessler and Martin Landau.

Set during the course of Easter weekend, 2001, “Bad
Hurt On Cedar Street” chronicles the tribulations of the
Kendall family of Cranston, Rhode Island. The play is a family drama
of survival and the power of the human spirit to persevere. The
production marks the opening of the Greenway Arts Alliance’s Eighth
Annual Season, which is overseen by Co-Artistic Directors, Whitney
Weston and
Pierson Blaetz.

Performances
during the limited run through February 24, 2007 will be given on
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. at Greenway Court
Theatre, 544 North Fairfax Avenue (at Clinton Street, near Melrose
Avenue), Hollywood, CA 90036. Greenway Court Theatre is wheelchair
accessible. There is limited nudity in the 120-minute play. General
Admission is $22 per person. Tickets for Students, Seniors and
Veterans are $18 per person. Group Rates for Groups of 10 or more are
