CENTER OF THE STAR
Cornerstone Theater Company and GREENWAY Arts Alliance
present Center of the Star, a world premiere play, with music and
dance, that celebrates and explores the lives of the Los Angeles Jewish
community in their search for light. Our tour guide is Jackie, a successful
photographer whose trip through L.A. sparks memories of her grandmother from
Boyle Heights, her own idyllic Fairfax childhood, teenage yearnings in
Brentwood, and the tragedy that led to Jackie’s Exodus from Los Angeles.
Center of the Star is a story of community, family and forgiveness and
explores the vast variety of cultural influences, racial backgrounds and
religious practices of the local Jewish population.
